God Is Both

On the assumption that human language can be appropriately applied to God, this writer would say God, if He exists, is both conservative and liberal in certain regards. One sense of conservative relates to conservation, which suggests that a benevolent God would wish to conserve and protect the natural world. Such a conservative God would look with disfavor on those who pillage and pollute the natural environment, whether via strip mining the landscape, polluting the streams and rivers, or eliminating the environment required by wildlife. In another regard altogether, God would be liberal in the sense of being positively disposed to those who strive to liberate the oppressed of the world. Understood in these different ways. there is no contradiction in God being both conservative and liberal. So there is no conflict in a deity being both environmentally conservative and morally liberal.
